The chemicals in sunscreen actually promote skin cancer. The skin is not the only organ that is harmed by sunscreen chemicals. Those chemicals are absorbed by the skin, circulate throughout the body and end up harming the liver, the organ responsible for neutralizing chemicals in the body.

My Comment:
Hopefully this is becoming old news. But, for some reason, I still see people slathering toxic chemicals all over them. It's a double irony. We are afraid of the sun, which gives us Vitamin D. Vitamin D is the single most important safeguard against cancer. Then we cover our entire body with sunscreen. So our largest organ is soaking up cancer causing toxic chemicals that can cause cancer.
It's a one-two punch.
And for the knockout...
Sugar.
When we have high blood sugar or high blood glucose levels, we increase our risk of cancer.
Sunscreen - Vitamin D + Sugar = Cancer
I like the following equation better:
Suntan - Sugar = Optimal Health
Of course, you should avoid getting sunburned. That doesn't mean avoiding the sun between 11 am and 2 pm. In fact, during that time you can get the most Vitamin D. Get sun in moderation and build up your tan slowly. In northern climates, it's best to get out in the Spring and start getting sun before Summer hits. You don't want your first exposure to the sun to be a daylong affair in 90 degree weather, and come home looking like a lobster.
